Happy October!

The nights and mornings are getting nippy and the leaves are changing color.  We've watched the garden go from seedlings in planting cups, transferred to the garden boxes, grow into big plants, produce veggies and now they're starting to turn brown.  What a great way to watch the seasons turn.  We've talked about
State Fairs and Farms, and now we've started our Fall Fun and Count Down to Halloween units.  Although, summer is behind us, we have a lot planned for Autumn.  Keep an eye out for all our fun preschool activities. 

Today we classified big, medium and small Halloween objects.

Preschool Begins!

 This week marks our first week of Preschool.  Here is a list of items we'll be working on  through the end of August:
Theme:  Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
Introduction to Alphabet, Upper and Lower case
Biggest-Smallest, Shapes in the world around us, Recognizing and writing our names
small motor tracing practice, shaping sorting and lots of art!

Everyone sorted their trapezoids from biggest to littlest

Then glued them down as a tree trunk

 

We then add triangle leaves, and circle coconuts
